Five weeks on...

...and we're still none the wiser, other than our budget seems to have crept north of where we thought it would be!

A couple of weekends ago we headed off to venues in Cheltenham, Bromsgrove and Kidderminster - all different and all offering a different type of day and us having to re-imagine how a day at that venue would flow. This weekend we're seeing two more and the weekend after we're seeing four more so at this point, having seen the venue photos on each website, we have a hundred different ideas floating around and, somewhere within that primordial soup, are some of the ingredients that will create our special day.

We'd also need a dozen more wedding days and a much bigger budget to use half of them but we're not quite ready to abandon them just yet!

But we've got a shadow of an idea of how we'd like our day to go and so we just need to find a venue that can accommodate us and be flexible enough to have a Plan B. With the wedding being in June it's as likely to be thirty degrees as it is to be a total washout so we will definitely need a wet weather plan!

I'm realising it's hard to write this without giving anything away as to what we want on the day as we want it to be a surprise for those who get to be a part of our special day. I will endeavour to try, though, and hopefully keep our cards close to our chest, or I'll be in real trouble!
