New Year, New Plans: The Results!

The crowd gathered and the excitement mounted as the results for the 2021 planned trips were revealed!

On a piece paper, separate for each trip idea, we both wrote down our two ideas for each of the four categories: Leicestershire activities, London activities, day trips and experiences.

I was quietly confident that a) we would have a matching option in the Leicestershire category and b) there would be no other matching ideas!

Sure enough, out of 16 possible ideas, we had 15 different things to try out over the next 12 months:

Leicestershire

Matt: The Space Centre / a day at the rugby (Leicester Tigers)

Rosie: The Space Centre / a meal at Leicester's only Michelin-starred restaurant

London

Matt: Thames river cruise / open-top bus tour

Rosie: Hampstead Heath / Tower of London

Days out

Matt: The Royal Welsh Show / Hunstanton, Weston-Super-Mare, the seaside

Rosie: Stonehenge / punting on the Cam

Experiences

Matt: climb the Three Peaks (separately) / dancing lessons

Rosie: visit the UK's top 10 fish and chip shops / overnight stay at Ragdale Hall

I suspect we'll struggle to get around to doing all of these this year, and we'll get round to doing none of them as long as either we're or they remain in tier 4. But given that once released from our tiered prisons we don't know how long that freedom will last I suspect we'll get cracking and start ticking them off just as soon as we can.

Note how in a single experience Rosie has basically squeezed 10 trips? I thought I was pushing it by including the three highest peaks of Wales, England and Scotland! Hey-ho - we'll see how we get on! Subscribe below to stay up to date!
